Some of the walkways in the park follow the course of the now defunct Cleveland Railway, which served the brick works.
The Cleveland Railway, ran from the Normanby Jetty on the River Tees, via Normanby, then via Guisborough through the Eston Hills, to Loftus in East Cleveland. Normanby Jetty closed in 1966.
